Mamas and Papas began with a flash of inspiration - we were expecting our first daughter, Amanda, and of course wanted to give our growing family the very best.
Our roots were in Italy - a country filled with passion, elegance and design. We looked and looked for items of this quality and style, but couldn’t find the attention to detail we were looking for. So we decided to source it for ourselves, setting up our first boutique baby shop in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.
Nearly 30 years on, the world of Mamas & Papas has grown to over 50 stores in the UK and many more around the world, but our passion for parenting and commitment to providing a world of inspiration for new parents remains unchanged. Every baby journey is unique and special, and we aim to provide a world of colour, style, innovation and quality that gives parents the freedom to add their own creative flair and make the most of this magical time.
A defining moment in our journey has been watching our daughters Amanda and Olivia grow up equally inspired by the world of Mamas & Papas, to the extent that they have now both joined our business. Our family continues to expand as we open new stores and markets around the world, all reflecting the uncompromising approach to quality, style and the attention to detail that makes Mamas & Papas so special.
